The 5 star rating is also because of …

The 5 star rating is also because of the consumer reports review. I haven’t received mine yet either and am rather nervous to have purchased something this big sight-unseen over the internet–so I’m really counting on the consumer reports review. I’ll also update my review after I receive it.

Rocky wish he had this tread mill!

Maybe he could have worked out some of that bad acting out of his system.

Library quiet, smooth as a bambina’s thigh.

Run like an Italian Stallion on this trainer.

  • I too am thinking about ordering this based on the recent Consumer reports rating. I wondered a few things:

When ordering this from amazon, did you have to assemble? And who did the treadmill actually come from (what company?)

Also what is you opinion so far on the treadmill.

    Thanks a bunch.

  • I bought this treadmill because of it’s high rating in Consumer Reports. I’ll admit that, so far, I’m happy with it. However, I was dissapointed to learn that it was made in China. My experience with Chinese products has not been a positive one. Poison in dog food, toothpaste, pharmaceuticals, and sheetrock are just a few examples of why I am so lerry of Chinese products. Low quality and cheap components seem to be synonymous with “Made in China”.

I know it’s unthinkable for America to build our own treadmills, but I would feel a lot more confident about my investment if it had been made in Japan or Germany. Time will tell.

  • Okay, so I’ve ordered this machine but have not yet received it and therefore have not yet run on it. I just wanted to comment for those of you that don’t know that this treadmill was rated as a “Best Buy” by Consumer Reports 02/06. The Bowflex 7 Series was given an “Excellent” rating in Quality, Exercise Range, and Ergonomics; and was rated “Very Good” for Ease of Use. (The highest marks for all fold up treadmills tested, and better than most of the nonfolding types). So, I’m thinking that for $1499 this will be as good as any of the $3000 model treadmills. Plus a free Bowflex mat, free shipping and no tax! Amazon has the best price that I’ve seen. I’ll update this as soon as it gets here and I crank out a few miles :)
